Potato and Apple Dauphinoise

Craving something savory yet healthy? Try this tasty Potato and Apple Dauphinoise for a guilt-free treat! 🤤🥔 #delicious


Ingredients
1 kg potatoes washed
1 large or two small apples (use organic if possible, so you can leave the skin on
Sauce Ingredients
200 mL vegan cream (I used oatly)
250 ml or 1 cup Soymilk (or your preferred type)
100 g vegan butter
2 garlic cloves crushed
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1/4 cups of nutritional yeast
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 large or two small apples (use organic if possible, so you can leave the skin on
Salt and pepper
2 large handful of grated vegan cheese on top
Few bay leaves
Instructions

Spike the potatoes with a fork and microwave it for 10 minutes.
In the meantime, mix all the sauce ingredients with a whisker.
Slice the apple thinly.
Slice potatoes thinly. Layer 1/3 of it in a baking casserole.
Layer 1/2 of the sliced apple on top.
Ladle 1/3 of the sauce on top.

Layer 1/3 of potatoes.
Sprinkle salt and pepper.
Add 1/2 of apple.
Ladle 1/3 of sauce.
Finish with last third of potatoes and ladle remainder of Sauce.
Sprinkle grated cheese and finally add bay leaves on top.
Bake for around 30 mins covered with aluminium foil. Then uncovered 2p-30 minutes on 180 degrees.
Let it rest for 15 minutes and serve!
